“My wife and I moved to Ashton in 2010 at around the same time as the birth of our daughter. She now attends Ashton Primary School and her younger brother is hoping to join her soon.
I became a governor as a way of supporting the school, which was one of the main reasons we were attracted to living in Ashton. It’s also great to get to know many friendly people and be more involved in the village community.
I expect to be able to make use of my experience as an actuary, which involves financial analysis, risk assessment and membership of various committees, in this role.”
